Unique Hand-fasting Festivities from Hog Roast Howth

Hog Roast Howth recently attended a Hand-Fasting ceremony. Not a traditional wedding, although there was a bride, a groom and a whole load of very happy (and sometimes teary) guests. It was a truly special and unique event. The entire day was a celebration of love, family and friends. And to top off the stunning summers day was the perfect Hog Roast.
The Hand-Fasting took place outdoors in a tranquil field and camp site created specifically for alternative weddings.

Hog Roast HowthAs the venue was in a secluded area which was only accessible by a dirt road wide enough for a car, some of the guests were somewhat dubious about how the Hog Roast would make it to the party intact, but they needn’t have feared! We arrived in good time and prepared a wondrous feast as the festivities for the special couple were taking place in the forest close by.
With just under seventy guests, including children and a handful of vegetarians, we can confirm that not a single guest was left hungry. Even the most picky pallets were more than pleased with our offerings.

Hog Roast Howth was a huge success and as everyone gathered around the roaring camp fire, tucking into their crisp crackling, apple sauce and stuffing stuffed rolls there was a moment of simple silence as everyone sat, clearly enjoying every mouthful.

Many of the guests made repeat trips and each one returned to the campfire with another round of tempting treats which encouraged the others (despite some of them adamantly stating they were trying to be good) to go back for a second or even third helping!

The salad was praised for looking every bit as wonderful as it looked. The sides and of course the Hog Roast itself were eagerly devoured and then, somehow, they even found room the for the naughty, but sumptuous desserts. (But then, who could blame them?)

As the party atmosphere turned from food to dancing Hog Roast Howth packed up to leave the happy couple to enjoy the rest of their special day. It was a job well done, all the guests were left with full bellies and we left with two future bookings!
