Laurence is the human resources manager of a local sales office and oversees a team of 120 staff members. With the current cost of living crisis and the weather getting colder, it is no surprise that morale is lower at work as people adjust to the dark nights and shorter days. To give the team something to look forward to, Laurence contacted Hog Roast Kilmainham and arranged catering for an office lunch in December. Our classic hog-roast menu would be ideal for the event and was bound to go down a treat with the guests.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Kilmainham team arrived at the sales office and set up our catering station in the conference room. This gave us plenty of space to cook and serve the buffet comfortably. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before it was expertly carved by our chef. The sliced pork was then served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit as a pork alternative. The bread rolls were served with homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes to create a varied and delicious lunch. Our menu was served buffet style and was a great alternative to the usual packed lunches that the staff eat. Not only was this a great way to boost morale, but it was also a good introduction to the festive season!
