Earlier this month, Hog Roast Finglas was hired to provide catering for an event taking place at a local community centre. The event was organised by Ellen, who manages the centre and hosts a variety of events each month. This time, she was planning a movie night for local people to enjoy, along with a tasty buffet lunch served by Hog Roast Finglas. She was hoping that our tasty catering would attract more guests to the event and appeal to more local people, helping to boost the popularity of the community centre. For the menu, we have been hired to serve a classic hog roast for 150 guests, as well as a meat-free and gluten-free alternative.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Finglas team is planning on arriving at the community centre in the morning to prepare for the 2:00pm serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it is cooked to perfection before it will be expertly carved by our chef. Once ready, the sliced pork will be served in fresh bread rolls (or a gluten-free alternative), alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For any meat-free guests, we will be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat alternative. Alongside the mains, the guests will be able to enjoy homemade chips and a selection of seasonal salad options to create a varied and well-rounded buffet lunch.
