This December, Hog Roast Balbriggan has been contacted by Lucy and her fiancé to arrange catering for their wedding, which is taking place in spring 2024. The couple have decided on a beautiful venue overlooking a lake, which will be decorated with a floral and rustic theme. Additionally, they have chosen a live band to entertain their guests at the reception by playing a selection of the couple’s favourite songs. For the catering, the menu needed to have plenty for 120 guests to enjoy, including a selection of tasty meat-free options, since the bride and several guests are vegetarian. All of our menus can be customised to suit the occasion, so our team came up with the perfect menu for what is bound to be a lovely wedding!
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Balbriggan team is planning on arriving at the venue in the morning to give us plenty of time for the 3:00pm serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog since it needs at least five hours to cook to perfection. Once ready, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and homemade applesauce. Additionally, we will be providing BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious alternative to pulled pork, and tasty veggie sausages. This will ensure that there is a main dish for everyone to enjoy and more than enough to go around. For the side dishes, we will be serving homemade chips, sweet potato fries, a selection of seasonal salad dishes, and gourmet coleslaw, or create a varied and delicious afternoon meal.
