This past week Hog Roast Howth were delighted to be welcomed into a special celebration for our longtime customer Dawn, who celebrated her 60th birthday with friends, family, and here favourite Hog Roast Howth dinner!
Dawn has been a supporter of Hog Roast Howth for the better part of the last decade. We first met her at her own 50th when her sister arranged dining with us for a surprise birthday party for Dawn. She loved our hog roast special so much that a few years later she came to us herself when she was organising a Christmas party. Dawn even tried to request the exact same chef that served her 50th to get the same taste, but lucky for her she doesn’t need the same chef when our hog roast machines always produce the same brilliant results!
Since then we have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Dawn as she regularly comes to us for events – sometimes just as an excuse to get her hands on her favourite roast! When it came time for her 60th, we both knew there was nowhere else that Dawn was ever going to go. It also feels like a nice rounding of the circle since the first time we catered for her was a special birthday, and now here we are again 10 years later!
With around 40 folks in attendance, one hog roast was more than enough for the main dish – even if Dawn did insist that she could hoover up one all on her own! Our hog roast was paired with a beef roast alternative and both were served with roasted new potatoes, seasonal vegetables, our gourmet coleslaw, veg and halloumi skewers, stuffing for the pork and Yorkshire puddings for the beef, and of course apple sauce and homemade gravy. True to her word, Dawn did hoover up a lot of the hog roast, but there was still more than enough to go around! The Hog Roast Howth were delighted to be able to provide this gift for one of our favourite customers, and we can only hope that Dawn had as good a time at her 60th celebrations as all of us did!
