Flawless Wedding Reception Catering From Hog Roast Cabinteely

A hog or spit roast is an immensely popular choice when it comes to catering large events like posh weddings, festivals and corporate hospitality functions with several hundred guests invited, but Hog Roast Cabinteely is actually suitable for just about any event or party that you can think of – even small, informal gatherings. We cater both outdoors and indoors (we can cook inside as long as there’s enough ventilation and space) and we use high-quality, fresh, local ingredients to make food that’s talked about for a long time to come. But did you know that we provide many other dishes, as well as our famous hog and spit roasts?

Hog Roast CabinteelyYou may prefer for us to barbecue burgers, sausages and ribs or serve our highly popular Southern Slow Roast Menu, which features three marinated meats and four sides to make sure that everyone’s satisfied on your special occasion, or you may want a three-course menu, preceded by our handmade canapés or just to simply add some sides, either hot or cold. And if you need special diets catering, like plant-based or gluten-free, just let us know in advance and we can make sure those guests are well-catered too. Whatever you have in mind, our experienced, professional, dedicated Hog Roast Cabinteely chefs and team members will help you to celebrate or commemorate your occasion with the perfect options to suit both you and your guests.

Hog Roast Cabinteely recently catered Maria and Roman’s informal wedding reception, where we cooked a centrepiece hog roast for more than five hours, after lovingly preparing it. The couple asked us to make our amazing pigs in buns for their thirty guests, as well as serve some garden-fresh salads.

Our team arrived at the hotel venue several hours before service, to prepare the hog from scratch, and then we watched over it while it sizzled in its own juices. By lunchtime, the meat was perfectly browned on the outside, with soft and tender meat inside, and it needed a short rest while we freshly prepared a tomato and mozzarella salad, a Caesar salad and our own coleslaw. By 2pm, it was time to serve the main course and side dishes buffet-style to the excited newlyweds and their guests.
