After being married for 40 years, Alan and Sue decided it was something worth celebrating, so they hired their local golf club’s function room and a DJ to play all of their favourite songs so they could celebrate their long marriage with all of their family and friends! Alan and Sue may have been a match made in heaven when it came to most things, but when it came to food, they were worlds apart! With Alan being a big meat fan and Sue being pescatarian, they often had a bit of trouble deciding on their evening meal, so they were understandably feeling a bit daunted by the prospect of finding a catering company who could please not only them but the rest of the family as well!
Unbeknownst to Sue, Alan had been doing a bit of secret sleuthing to find a suitable catering company and after having a chat with us here at Hog Roast Carrickmines, he knew he was on to a winner and told his wife that he had the catering sorted! Being a pescatarian Sue was a bit sceptical at first when she heard the words “hog roast” but as soon as she saw the menu Alan had picked, she changed her mind. With some of our premium pork for Alan and the other meat eating guests to look forward to, as well as a delightful selection of canapes including mini veggie burgers, wild mushroom bouchées, smoked salmon and tiger prawns, followed by whole roasted salmon and locally sourced seasonal veggies and new potatoes, husband and wife were both eagerly anticipating their anniversary party food!
It was a great night for everyone who was there to celebrate the couple’s 40th wedding anniversary and Sue couldn’t believe how well the Hog Roast Carrickmines team had catered for their different tastes, as well as providing vegetarian and vegan options, and gluten free bread rolls and wraps! It was a very special occasion for a lovely couple and the Hog Roast Carrickmines team were very happy that we managed to please not only Alan and Sue but the rest of the guests as well with our signature hog roast and varied menu!
