This past Saturday, Hog Roast Loughshinny’s catering team had the honour of contributing to Alannah’s hen party, ensuring the celebration was nothing short of stylish and memorable.
The bride-to-be had curated a day filled with fun, starting with a gin tasting event for herself, bridesmaids, and a select group of female friends and family members. The highlight of the afternoon was crafting personalised mini bottles of gin as a keepsake for guests to look back on the experience.
Following the gin-fuelled festivities, the party of 25 continued to a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Dublin’s fair city. Hog Roast Loughshinny took the reins for the culinary part of the celebration, presenting our much-adored Alfresco Menu to the ravenous group!
The Alfresco Menu kicked off with charcuterie boards adorned with an array of Italian meats, cheeses, and artisanal breads. This appetising opening set the stage for the main event – a hog roast that left the partygoers in awe.
The guests watched in amazement as our skilled catering manager expertly carved the full-size hog, separating the crackling from the succulent meat within. The resulting masterpiece, featuring the meat, crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and applesauce, was elegantly served on gluten-free rolls, atop bamboo plates with generous servings of coleslaw, salad, and buttered new potatoes.
With plenty of food on offer, the group was more than welcome to help themselves to second, third and fourth helpings of the food – and many of them did! The piping hot feast proved to be the perfect antidote to the winter chill in the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for the celebration. The delightful meal concluded with a choice of indulgent desserts – chocolate torte and profiteroles – both of which were met with admiration and appreciation from the guests.
Alannah, the radiant bride-to-be, thoroughly enjoyed herself, and her happiness was infectious. The success of the hen party, marked by great company, stunning views and Hog Roast Loughshinny’s outstanding food, heightened the anticipation for the upcoming wedding in the coming weeks.
As Alannah and her guests departed from the rooftop terrace, still savouring the success of the delightful afternoon, Hog Roast Loughshinny sprung into action. With precision and efficiency, we tackled the post-celebration clean-up. Our dedicated crew swiftly loaded the equipment into the van and meticulously cleared away any remnants of the lively party. In no time, the space was restored to its pristine condition, leaving behind only the echoes of laughter and the lingering warmth of a memorable event.
