Hog Roast Rathmines – Long-Awaited Housewarming Party

After years of working hard to get on the property ladder, Emma and Adam finally managed to achieve their goal and earlier this year they put down their deposit for a stunning starter house in their hometown that needed a little TLC. Months of renovating later, they decided it was finally time to celebrate the new chapter in their lives and hoping to make use of their spacious back garden, the happy couple invited Hog Roast Rathmines to serve one of our mouth-watering menus at their housewarming party which they had invited 64 of their closest friends and relatives to.

Hog Roast RathminesWith a list of dietary requirements to cater for there was no room for error at this event, and after speaking to our resident catering manager the pair opted for our classic hog roast menu with a variety of side options as well as a meat-free alternative for the vegetarians and vegans who were expected to attend. While Emma and Adam remained hopeful that the weather would be at least somewhat on their side, they also knew that planning an outdoor event in December was destined to be chilly so along with the main course, they had also asked the Hog Roast Rathmines team to incorporate a drinks package of hot chocolate with an added selection of soft drinks for the guests to enjoy.

On the day of the housewarming, Hog Roast Rathmines arrived a few hours early which gave them plenty of time to prepare the feast that centred around a slow roasted whole pig with all the trimmings and was complimented by a trio of fresh salads, creamy coleslaw and soft floured gluten-free rolls and wraps. For non-meat-eaters, the catering crew grilled our increasingly popular veggie skewers which are created using courgettes, red onion, mixed peppers and chunks of haloumi cheese before being served with pitta bread and a gorgeous tzatziki dip.

We’re happy to share that Emma and Adam had a fantastic time celebrating their new home with their loved ones, and the guests were grateful to receive a steamy cup of hot chocolate which kept them warm between helpings.
