We have had a flurry of enquiries here at Hog Roast Sutton lately about hiring our awesome hog roast machines from various people in the catering and hospitality industries who are looking for creative ways to put on events at their establishments whilst ensuring they uphold public safety and social distancing measures. Lots of business owners are choosing to capitalise on their outdoor space and are gradually reintroducing some of their regular events by hosting them outdoors instead. To make life easier, they are also looking for an effective yet low maintenance catering option that can be done outdoors and hiring one roast machines is the ultimate way to achieve this! This was exactly local landlady Debbie’s line of thinking when she got in touch with Hog Roast Sutton to see if we could help! She was planning on getting her popular pub quiz going again as she knew her regulars had really missed it, so she decided she would ask her patrons to get their thinking caps on out in the beer garden. To mark the occasion, Debbie wanted to provide some great grub for the quizzers to encourage them to join in and she thought a hog roast would be ideal.
She wanted to hire a piece of equipment that both looked impressive for a bit of theatre and that produced equally impressive results, without her second in command Mark, who she had nominated as chef for the evening, being too overstretched. Hog Roast Sutton’s knowledgeable team immediately identified the mighty Hogmaster machine as being the ideal piece of equipment for Debbie’s needs, and we weren’t wrong! Debbie and Mark loved how it looked and how it functioned. All they had to do was to take some simple steps to get the cooking process underway, before pretty much leaving the Hogmaster to it until the meat was oozing with flavour and falling off the bone! The attendees loved the spectacle of watching the meat being spit roasted too, so much so that apparently it kept distracting them from the quiz questions! When it was ready to be served, it certainly lived up to everyone’s expectations, and Debbie also loved how the lid of the machine can be converted into a serving table for ultimate practicality! A successful outdoor quiz night relaunch for Debbie and another great result for the Hogmaster!
