If you’re planning a party or event and you’re thinking of something completely different in terms of food to enjoy together with your guests, Hog Roast Ballinascorney is the best choice you could make. Whether you’re planning an extravagant wedding day with hundreds of people, an informal office party with just a few or a meal at home in your back garden with family and friends, we will easily cater all your needs, and this goes for any other kind of special occasion too, as a hog roast is suitable for just about anything you can think of.
Nevertheless, Hog Roast Ballinascorney isn’t only about serving hog roasts, despite them being our delicious signature dish that we’ve perfected over many years and part of our name of course. We know that our customers and their guests need to be spoilt for choice, with many options that cater not only for differing tastes and appetites but special diets as well. You may want a simple yet sumptuous serving of our pigs in buns (which is what we call hog roast rolls) or a spit-roasted, marinated or barbecued meat dish served alongside a vegetarian or gluten-free option or you may be thinking of adding sides, either hot or cold, or us providing multiple courses or even handmade canapés. Whatever you need, we can do it all.
Hog Roast Ballinascorney recently catered a party for Jerry at an ex-servicemen’s club, where we prepared, cooked and served a lovely feast of hot, fresh pigs in buns, together with salad and some of our spicy sweet potato wedges that have a little kick. When Jerry called us, he let us know that there had been a unanimous decision that for this event, our famous pigs in buns just had to be the main attraction for the thirty guests, as they had enjoyed them before and loved them.
On Wednesday afternoon, our chef and catering assistant prepared the pig from scratch outdoors at the venue and it roasted away for several hours until perfectly browned on the outside and tender on the inside. By 4pm, we had piles of pigs in buns and wedges, a Greek salad and our homemade coleslaw, all ready to serve the hungry guests and they couldn’t wait to dig in.
