This summer, Hog Roast Bray is catering for Michael and Alison’s wedding, which is taking place in a rustic converted barn. The event is planned to be a lot of fun, with 80 guests in attendance, an open bar, and a DJ to play music throughout the evening. As a result, we are expecting our catering to go down a treat when the guests need to boost their energy to keep partying! For the catering, we have been hired to provide a classic hog roast, with a few dessert options to accompany the wedding cake, which is being provided by the couple.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Bray team arrived at the venue in the afternoon, giving us plenty of time to prepare and cook the menu before the 8:00pm serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once ready, it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. We also provided homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes to create a varied evening buffet. For the dessert options, the guests chose between chocolate torte and summer pudding, with each dish served alongside English cream and fresh berries. This was followed by the beautiful wedding cake, which our team served to the guests.
