Weddings are a unique and magical event for the couple and indeed for the caterers. Hog Roast Santry are always delighted to be hired to provide the catering weddings, they love to be able to help a happy couple celebrate their special day!
The clients’ venue for their wedding and reception afterwards was on a private beach. The clients were worried that Hog Roast Santry wouldn’t be able to cater at such an alfresco event, but once they spoke to the team their fears were put to rest. The Hog Roast Santry Chef and assistant would arrive at the beach several hours before the 5pm serving time to set up their catering gazebo and serving table. This meant that there was plenty of space and time for the dishes to all be freshly made in the hours leading up to the event.
The clients chose a menu that would ordinarily be part buffet and part waitress/waiter service. However they chose to scrap the served element, all the dishes they chose would be on offer from the large serving table.
As the 120 guests arrived from the ceremony there were canapés on offer at the serving table. The guests could pick between mini pizzas, spicy Thai chicken kebab, Dim Sum and an Indian selection.
At 5pm on the dot the happy couple led their guests along the serving table for the main course. There were a lot of choices! There was a Classic Hog Roast with all the trimmings and fresh crusty bread rolls; there was also a large platter of Thai chicken kebabs and meaty marinated spare ribs. Alongside these delicious dishes there was also plenty of crunchy coleslaw, crispy Thai salad, green leaf salad and steaming hot jacket potatoes.
After the main course the guests had wonderful wedding cake for pudding, which the clients had provided. The Chef and assistant dressed the serving plates with summer berries and fresh cream.
Once all the food had been enjoyed the Hog Roast Santry team discretely began tidying away, taking all the rubbish and the reusable crockery and cutlery they have provided off site. The clients were very satisfied with the service they received, it was a wedding well done.
