Trick or treat, Hog Roast Dun Laoghaire is here to give you something good to eat!
I know we say this every year, but our teams absolutely love Halloween, and we’re hoping that you’re as excited as we are for this year’s celebrations. The costumes, the ghost stories and well-intentioned scares and, best of all, the food – you just can’t beat it!
While sugar-filled treats and, for some reason, monkey nuts are what many people associate with being traditional Halloween grub, our customers and clients will back us up when we tell you that hog roasts are where it’s at.
Our tantalising creations make for the perfect addition to absolutely any event, which is exactly why Shaun made sure to get in contact with Hog Roast Dun Laoghaire several weeks beforehand to secure his booking. As luck would have it, our crew had space in their diary which completely suited his needs.
As this year’s designated host, Shaun had decided to hop on board a rising trend: scare trails. Not only are these spooky pathways filled with haunting sights and jump scares from actors masquerading as the un-dead, but they’re also a great way of celebrating Halloween while sticking to the lockdown restrictions since it’s so easy to keep people socially distanced at all times. The community were quick to get behind Shaun’s idea, and it didn’t take long before he sold out of all 100 tickets.
For what the client had planned, our southern slow roast menu seemed to be the ideal fit. So, in the end, this was the spread that he settled on for the pre-Halloween fright night which went ahead on Monday evening.
Hog Roast Dun Laoghaire spent hours working on the delicious spread, which had been positioned at the end of the trail as a treat for the guests after they had faced all those tricks. The screams from the participants got louder and closer until eventually, the first group made their way to the exit where they excitedly collected their edible ”trophies”.
Our catering crew knocked ’em dead with the selection of sticky pork ribs, BBQ 100% beef burgers, juicy gourmet sausages and BBQ pulled jackfruit, each of which was served with a variety of side salads and chips.
