The results are in, and that can only mean one thing: exam season is officially over for another year! Students can now put the months spent cramming for tests, pouring over textbooks and stressing themselves out over getting the right answers behind them and instead rejoice by tossing out their notebooks, closing the caps on their pens and shutting down their laptops for good (with the exception of binge-watching Netflix, of course!).
With celebrations most definitely in order, many students have also been inspired to throw post-exam parties, and after all that hard work, who could blame them? Not us! So, after getting his results in the post, Stewart’s parents, Alison and James decided to organise one for him too. Hoping to make the most of the heatwave we’ve been having, the pair had come up with the idea of having a traditional hog roast and after a quick scroll online, they were introduced to Hog Roast Artane.
With our help, the clients quickly settled on our southern slow roast menu which offers a varied flavour selection that is particularly popular among the younger generations. Minds made up and dishes selected, Hog Roast Artane set straight to work on preparing for the party.
All the excitement surrounding the celebrations meant Friday evening came much sooner than expected and starting their day early, the catering crew made sure to arrive at the client’s home by 2 pm. This gave the team plenty of time to prepare the indulgent feast which included BBQ pork butt, cajun spiced whole roast chickens and fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs which were sided by Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, mac and cheese, buttery corn cobettes and skin-on southern style whole baked potatoes. Vegetarians were given the option of grilled vegetable and halloumi wraps with tzatziki sauce or BBQ pulled jackfruit.
With plenty of food on offer for all 25 guests, the visually stunning Hog Roast Artane creation was ready to be served – and just in time too! The guests soon began pouring in, and with the irresistible scents of seasoned meats filling the air, their first stop was the catering gazebo!
